INTERFOB 2026 – What a Week!

Throughout our excursions, we had the opportunity to discover the Swiss wood industry up close. From innovative companies and fascinating production processes to educational institutions shaping the next generation of wood professionals, we gained valuable insights into what makes our industry so diverse and exciting.
One week. Countless memories. Friendships across borders. Wood Connecting Worlds.
INTERFOB 2026 has come to an end, and what an incredible week it has been! Looking back, we are filled with gratitude, unforgettable memories, and a little disbelief at how quickly it all went by.
First and foremost, a huge THANK YOU to every single participant! You brought your energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and unique personalities to Switzerland and turned this event into something truly special. INTERFOB would not be what it is without you. You didn’t just attend this week – you helped create it!
From the very beginning, the International Evening showed us what INTERFOB is all about. With incredible food, drinks, and specialties from all over Europe, every country went above and beyond to share a piece of its culture. What an amazing way to kick off the week!

Of course, we couldn’t let everyone leave switzerland without experiencing a little Swiss culture! Sharing our traditions, celebrating together, and introducing our international friends to the Swiss way of life was one of the highlights of the week.

Thursday brought us inspiring lectures and fascinating insights into research and innovation within the Swiss wood sector. On friday, creativity and teamwork took centre stage during our Building contest. Thanks to the fantastic materials provided by Rothoblaas, some truly impressive bridges came to life.
And what a better way to end such an incredible week than with our Gala Dinner? A wonderful evening of celebration, friendship and memories that will stay with us forever. A very special thank you goes to our amazing kitchen crew, who spoiled us with delicious meals every single day. You kept us happy, well fed and ready for every new adventure! And last but not least, our deepest gratitude goes to all our sponsors and partners. Without your generosity, trust and support, a week of this scale and quality would simply never have been possible. You helped turn an ambitious student project into an unforgettable international experience. Thank you for believing in us and making INTERFOB 2026 a reality!

As the organizing comitee, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. But more than anything, we are grateful for the people who made this week so special.

INTERFOB has once again shown that wood is much more than a material. It connects people, culture, ideas and feindship across borders.

Thank you for being part of INTERFOB 2026, for every conversation, every laugh, every shared experience and every memory.

Wood Connecting Worlds – not just our motto, but something we truly experienced together. ❤️

With love and gratitude
Your INTERFOB 2026 organizing comitee.
